The One Who Binds Moth & Moss…

My name is Kim Kippert (she/they), and I am both a funeral director/embalmer and the artist behind Memento Moth. My professional life has taught me to walk gently in the presence of mortality, honoring the delicate threshold between life and death. That reverence flows into my art, where I create gothic, fae-inspired curiosities that celebrate transformation, impermanence, and the strange beauty of nature.

Each piece I craft is formed from ethically sourced insects, moss, and natural relics, arranged as if conjured under moonlight. They are more than objects; they are artifacts of shadow and enchantment, woven from my love of dark fantasy and my lifelong obsession with the natural world.

Outside my work and artistry, I share my life with Elliott and our three beloved cats. When I am not creating, I can be found curled up with a dark fantasy romance novel, forever seeking inspiration in stories of magic, mystery, and transformation.

Memento Moth is where my two worlds meet — a place where professional reverence for death entwines with personal devotion to artistry, offering creations that whisper of moss, wing, and moonlit sorcery.
